The Benedictine Monastery is located on the site of the original 1847 mission building in New Norcia. The monastery is now home to a group of monks who live a simple communal life of prayer and work within the monastery. You will be able to take a guided walking tour of the town and learn about the history and present life of the occupants. Big Bell Ghost Town was once a mass of activity when it operated as a mine in the early 1900′s. Now you can explore the derelict town and imagine how life would have been and get an understanding of the wealth that once existed in the former town of Big Bell.
The Boulder Market Day is an excellent place to visit where you can enjoy the local entertainment, purchase some handmade crafts and discover the range of displays with plenty of activities for the whole family. The Clairault Winery and Restaurant is one of the oldest vineyards in the Margaret River region with its first vines being planted in 1976. It is situated on the highest point of the cape and here you will be able to enjoy a delightful menu created from local ingredients and award winning wines including Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The Denmark Dinosaur World in Western Australia has a world class permanent exhibition of dinosaur skeletons including the only T-Rex in Australia. You will be able to experience hands on, interactive eco adventures into the world of birds and reptiles.
