Vietnam has a lot to offer in the means of tourism that you may have even considered with exciting events all year-long. Welcoming those with tourist visas to explore a few secret treasures from a country full of good food and entertainment, unlike any other place in the world, its cultural and colorful heritage give a terrific platform for some fun festivals that take place all year-round.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City will feature the 7th annual International Tourism Expo with the theme of “Four Countries- One Destination”, teamed up with Cambodia, Laos, and for the first time this year, Myanmar. To aid in improving the tourist trade across the region, the festivities will be a vehicle to encourage tourism in this part of the world, and Vietnam is at the epicenter of the movement, and rolling out new products and services.
As 23 art organizations from more than twelve nations from around the world come together next year for the Hue Festival, an extra event that is being greatly anticipated with the theme of “Cultural Heritage Combined with Economic Development and International Integration”, as described by Ngo Hoa, the Deputy Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee as well as the head of the festival’s organizing panel. All beginning in April of 2012, the Nam Giao Offering Ritual, an Ao Dai Grand Show, which will be presented in traditional dress, accompanied by a number of other organized celebrations will be featured as a part of this celebration.
Starting with the opening ceremony, followed by a Thai Nguyen International Tea Workshop, the first annual Tea Festival will also be observed in the northeastern province of Thai Nguyen and will be split into 6 major events, in November of 2011. There is scheduled to be a tea cultural festival and a Miss Thai Nguyen Beauty contest prior to an exhibition to introduce the people and landscape of Thai Nguyen and Vietnam, directly after, and followed by the closing ceremony.
These are just a couple of the cultural festivities that will take place over the coming months, so if you’re thinking of doing a little traveling, grab your Vietnam visas and begin getting ready for your trip, because these and other festivals are certain to give you an experience full of heritage and tradition that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
