Everyone in the world have admitting that diving in Raja Ampat is like having underwater adventure which gives a different sensation than diving in other parts of Indonesia. Raja Ampat is located in the northwestern of Indonesia’s Papuan called “Bird’s Head Seascape” which has thousands of small islands. Raja Ampat region has more than 1.300 species of fish and 600 species of coral species.
About 75% of all coral species in the world can be found in Raja Ampat. It is because Raja Ampat is located in the heart of the Coral Triangle, the region which having the most marine life diversity so that Raja Ampat is considered as a place whis is rich and full of species. There is no place other than Raja Ampat which has a bunch of marine life diversity and still beautifully maintained. This is because the people around Raja Ampat are still using traditional tools in fishing or catch other sea creatures. The other reason is because of the limited access of transportation to the islands around the Raja Ampat. It makes natural ecosystems and marine life protected from any damage. Diving in Raja Ampat is all about diversity both in underwater creatures and diving sites.
There are some awesome diving sites waiting you to explore such as Wayag Islands in the northern Raja Ampat. Raja Ampat’s Wayag Islands offers the divers to the underwater scenery filled with beautiful soft corals and millions of various small fishes. Besides Wayag Islands, diving in Farondi, the Misool eastern island, also presents the beauty of the extremely amazing of underwater scenery. The beauty of soft corals, seahorses, and fishes give the sensation of diving that is more than just amazing.
Underwater Cave in Farondi is worth to visit when you are diving in this area. Underwater Cave has its own beauty. It surrounded by colorful sea fans and there are only a few sunlight inside the cave. The uniqueness from Underwater Cave is that divers can see some bats that live in the cave walls. Coral reefs and the number of fish is a main attraction of diving in Raja Ampat. A variety of coral reefs, snappers, groupers, reef sharks, napoeleon wrasse, barracuda, and tuna can be found here. The diving sites in Raja Ampat is too many to be explored. Raja Ampat will give you the beautiful attractive underwater adventure that each person is always wanting more.
