Located at the western area of Rome, Vatican City has become the center of Catholicism in the world for centuries. It is easy to get to the Vatican City by bus or taxi from Rome. While in Vatican City, you should visit the Vatican Museum which is best known for its double spiral staircase, Sistine Chapel, and Raphael Rooms. As you enter the museum, you will see the main corridor that leads to the Sistine Chapel, the most popular room in Vatican decorated by Michelangelo’s frescos. Following the next corridor, you will arrive at the Raphael Rooms and pass the elegant double staircase before exiting the building. The other place to visit in the center of Catholicism is the St. Peter’s Basilica, located not far from the museum. The beauty of the statues, the painting works, and the detail of the altars’ ornaments will charm to stay longer in St. Peter’s Basilica.
