This city is basically the most famous city in the world since everyone in this world seems to know about New York, even them who never set foot in this city. The modern and hectic life of New York has enchanting everyone to set foot in here and most of them do come. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the people of the United States as a symbol of freedom and democracy. It was dedicated on October 28th, 1886 and become a national museum in 1924. The Statue of Liberty was designed by French sculptor named Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and it is said that the face is modeled after the young sculpture’s mother. The crown of the head of the Lady Liberty has 7 spikes, symbolizing the 7 oceans across the earth which has meaning that the freedom should spread throughout the earth. The tablet on the left hand of the statue symbolizing the declaration of independence, while the torch on her right hand symbolizing the enlightenment. This statue is located on Liberty Island and it is open for public. Visiting the Statue of Liberty must be on your to do list when you come to New York.

However, within this hectic place, lies a huge and beautiful park for you to take a break from the life of the city. The Central Park is one of the reasons why New York is a very good place to live. Located at the center of Manhattan with area of 843 acres, the Central Park somehow also becomes the heart of New York. There are several lakes, ice rinks, fountains, tennis courts and many more facilities available in this park for people to enjoy. This park also becomes the home of Central Park Zoo and Metropolitan Museum of Art which are also famous places of New York City.

Other magnificent landmark in New York City is one and the only Brooklyn Bridge. Connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan, The Brooklyn Bridge stretches for length of 5989 feet which makes this bridge the World’s Largest Suspension Bridge ever made. The most noticeable feature of this bridge is the two towers with height of 84 meters. This bridge also offers you with a footpath, a pedestrian path that will give you the chance to enjoy the great view of the bridge tower and also the Manhattan skyline. This magnificent bridge has attracting many visitors to come every year to enjoy its amazing design.
