New York has always been a hot destination for travelers and tourist. 2012 isn’t just another year though. New York is seeing an influx in travelers and tourist and here’s why.

The Statue Of Liberty
Believe it or not more people are visiting this iconic statue of freedom. Maybe its because the rest of America is feeling down due to the recession. Whatever the reason more people from around the world are taking a trip to New York and stopping by Ellis Island Museaum to marvel at what American’s take for granted everyday, freedom.

Times Square
Times Square is still one of the hottest places to visit in New York. Any visitor to the city has to walk into it at some point, others run to it. Roam around and see all the great, tasty restauraunts and over-price corner stores. There is no place in the world like Times Square.

ChinaTown
Believe it or not Chinatown boasts one of the most centralized and concentrated Chineese community in the western world! When you enter Chinatown it’ll feel like entering China, without the great wall of course. Chinatown is a great place to grab a bite to eat, take pictures, and find some weird but fun merchandise. Get ready to spend a couple hours here. Chinatown covers a couple of blocks and there are many, many places and things to look at.

The Empire State Building
When it was first built it was the largest building in the world. It was later dethroned in 1971 when the North Tower of the World Trade Center was built. Since the tragedy of 9/11 the Empire State Building has regained its title as the largest building in the world.

Sometime during 1945 a small plane crashed into the building killing 14 people. The building still stands and is one of the most popular attractions of New York.

The Subway
We aren’t talking about the sandwich chain that so many people eat at. We are talking about the actual subway, you know, the trains. . . No trip to New York is complete without riding the rails at least once. How can you not? The system of trains underneath a city with a complex grid. It’s one of America’s most succesful transit operation. The process is super easy too, buy a ticket, get on train, and get off. You are bound to have some incredible experiences just riding the subway and roaming around.

New York is always going to be a hot destination. This year and the next. You just can’t replicate the experience of New York anywhere else.
